Our WineDay list of Best Wines of 1998 included
the following:
a) The best white table wine was a Chardonnay.
b) Tied for second best red were two Cabernets.
c) The Best Red and Best Wine was a red blend. That's exactly what happened in the above listing as well. Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cab blends continue to be hard to beat.
