Are Best-Buy Whites Changing?"I don't want to pay over $10 for my white wines. What should I buy?"
THE ANSWER...FROM A BLIND TASTINGA few years ago I would have named half a dozen Chardonnays. BUT, their prices have been drifting upward, exceeding $10. Meanwhile, a number of inexpensive Sauvignon Blancs have been scoring well in my classes. Hence, I decided to pair a number of Blancs with Chardonnays of the same vintage and price, none over $10. Here is the winner of each match. The highest rated winner is listed last. That is, the further you read, the better the wine. THE BEST AFFORDABLE WHITES,
