I admit it: I'm nuts for countertop appliances. I've got mini-choppers and food processors in all models and sizes, but I find myself using this 5-cup machine a lot—several times a week. Why do I like it? It's easy to clean, sturdy, has a small countertop footprint, comes with a mini-bowl for smaller amounts, and it gets the job done. Maybe it's just me, but I now use my full-size food processors less often, and some of the mini-choppers are so small in capacity they're just not versatile. But this size is ideal for most of my daily projects, such as onion and garlic chopping, cheese shredding, and the occasional purée.
