Newspaper, magazine and book publishers are blessed with a never-ending supply of information for their websites. The Hearst Corporation is one such fortunate conglomerate. With resources like Good Housekeeping, Redbook and Country Living to name a few, Hearst's HomeArts: Eats page is chock full of food-specific information pulled from some of the countries top magazines.
The Homearts kitchen is divided into four main sections: Cook's Corner, Automat Cafe, The Body Beautiful and Liquid Assets. You can also search the recipe database, ask an expert to help solve your culinary quandries, or peruse any of the latest featured articles. Click on 'Chew on This' for interesting tidbits, facts and anecdotes for the diehard foodie.
In The Body Beautiful, learn how Oprah took it off and keeps it off or gather some tips to stop you from pigging out. The Automat Cafe gets you where you want to go more quickly by offering a simple category interface through which to navigate the site. In Cook's Corner you'll find ways to lighten the fat and calories in your recipes when you select Making It Healthy, a unique feature by most foodsite standards, offering lowfat substitutions for decadent ingredients. Learn the fundamentals of cooking in The Basics, find out what's fresh this season at your local supermarket or take the monthly culinary quiz offered. Liquid Assets offers a wine and food matching system to help you pair a wine with most any meal or occasion. All in all this site is pretty exhaustive, easy to navigate and a fun place to visit.
