All Aboard, Nestle Express Is Pulling Out!
There may not be a free lunch, but business travelers on France's SNCF's trains are getting a free breakfast this month—courtesy of Nestle foods. Imagine: a whole meal of Nestle-branded products—instant coffee, cereal, yogurt, juice and, of course, chocolate. Yum! Actually, it's a pretty innovative way to expose consumers to a wide range of products in one fell swoop. Now, if we could only get Balducci's to do this in New York...

And the milk went Moooo....
If your milk carton went "Mooooo," would you moooo back? Or would you call the bomb squad? In a special promotion, the Dairy Farmers of Ontario, Canada, distributed milk cartons with mooing-devices attached. One woman, not familiar with the campaign, heard the carton ticking and called the bomb squad. This was last year and the promotion was promptly dropped. But not for long. Recently, it's been relaunched with broader TV and point-of-purchase support, and consumers with the mooing milk win prizes.
We wonder... what if the beef council were to try the same approach?—it could be enough to turn us all into vegetarians.
