The question of eating in flight is complex. How your body processes food, what types of foods are best to ingest and when to ingest them come into play. Most people eat on flights because of boredom, and many suffer the effects of jet lag by doing so. The rule of thumb is to dine light if at all, eating in the way your body feels best, and not because of boredom, convenience or even time zone.
