Grandma's Kitchen
Full of special sights and smells, memories of Grandma's pantry can bring a smile to anyone's face. Step back in time by visiting Grandma's Kitchen, featuring old-time goodies like Amish recipes, cookware resources, and helpful kitchen hints.

Grandma's Kitchen is the merging efforts of the Witmers (Grandma who loves writing cookbooks and Grandpa who loves working on his computer). Together, they've come up with a winning combination sharing time-honored creations as well as links to thousands of free recipes.

Celebrating fond memories and nourishing home cooking, Grandma's Kitchen invites you to sample the site's tried and true recipes (some going back at least five generations). Selections are diverse featuring everything from canning and freezing recipes to holiday cuisine (European style) to pickled foods and relishes.

Looking for some comfort food? Then, try some of Grandma's stick to your ribs dishes like Stuffed Meat Loaf or Steak and Kidney Pie. Or, relive childhood memories by whipping up a batch of Ginger Icebox Cookies or Peanut Butter Date Cookies. If you'd like to convert one of these classics, you can always use the U.S. To Metric Conversion Table.

Other treasures of the site include Kitchen Hints recommended by Grandma or submitted by fans of the site. Here, you'll find gems of wisdom like adding lemon juice or vinegar to the liquid meat is being cooked in as an inexpensive meat tenderizer. To keep up-to-date on the developments in Grandma's Kitchen, you can also subscribe to the bi-weekly newsletter with more recipes, tips, and memories that last forever.
