Review by Debbie Mazo

Everyone knows that fish offers one of the most important low-fat sources of dietary protein around. Yet, most people think that cooking seafood is a time-consuming, complicated task requiring special techniques. Test the waters at Seafood Fair, and you'll learn that even the beginning cook can be a culinary wizard when it comes to seafood.

A well-presented, easy-to-use archive of seafood recipes, Seafood Fair has amusing graphics and a wealth of seafood information and trivia. For starters, check out the hot and steamy selection of chowders, soups, gumbos and stews. Soup of the Day ranges from Fish Graphic Curried Crab and Mushroom Chowder to Halibut Noodle Soup to Oyster, Shrimp, and Chicken Gumbo.

The Recipe Box is full of great recipes for fish and seafood, including recipes for sauces and butters, dips and patés, and batters and breading. You can also check out the descriptions of various types of fish and seafood as well as handy tips and how to's.

Click on Scallops and you'll find a spicy Scallop Creole that can be served over a bed of steamed rice. If you need some prep information on clams, find out how to clean clams (start by scrubbing the outside of each clam with a bristle brush to remove all the sand and dirt on the outside of the shell).

Seafood Fair Seeking more exotic fare? Then, look no further than the International Recipes for a growing collection of seafood recipes from all parts of the world. From India, sample the Bombay Shrimp or take a trip to Spain for the Chicken and Seafood Paella. Wherever you travel, you'll find that there's plenty of good fish in the sea at Seafood Fair.
