A culinary icon since the Civil War, TABASCO sauce has been used to liven up all kinds of dishes, marinades, and glazes. If you'd like to add some zest to more than your Bloody Mary, get a splash of this peppery sauce at TABASCO PepperFest, a spicy site with great graphics.

With strong roots in the traditional southern values of Louisiana, TABASCO PepperFest offers a virtual festival where visitors can celebrate this heritage renowned for its music and cuisine.

The festivities include RealAudio performances by local bands such as Beau Jocque and the Zydeco Hi-Rollers as well as art, games, and plenty of dancing. Follow the interactive dance instructions, and you'll be doing the Cajun two-step in no time.

Need a few souvenirs? Then, Miss Eula Mae, a character based on a real friend of the McIlhennys (the founders of TABASCO), invites you to the Country Store to pick up TABASCO gift baskets or T-shirts.

If you have questions about the uses of TABASCO products, Raymond Broussard, TABASCO historian, can answer any questions. He'll even take you on a tour of Avery Island, the home of TABASCO headquarters.

When you're ready for a bite of the hot stuff, make your way to the Taste Tent where Chef Claude can introduce you to some sizzling recipes like Spicy Turkey Burgers or Pork Saté .

You can also check out the TABASCO Taste Tent Message Board, where you can share your fiery passion for TABASCO sauce or post your favorite TABASCO-inspired recipe. If you can't make it to New Orleans for the Jazz Festival, TABASCO PepperFest will bring the sights, sounds, and flavors of Bayou country to your front door. Ooh-la-la, chere.
